I agree, maybe time to reevaluate the stance on Google. As much as I dislike their monopoly tendencies, tax evasion world wide, and machine learning AI for military drones to target via face recognition, I also have old colleagues and friends still working for them.
I used to work there. There are some seriously good people working there. Big Coporate will inevitably veer off towards evil (or just plain stupid) every now and then, but they've also done a lot of good for the world. Their internal culture is still much better than most BigCos.
Yes, many seem to think there is a strategy behind every move, but knowing how dumb management can be and really sink a company/corporation with pure ignorance, even when it comes to basic things like understanding their own market and customers.
