No shit, where do you think the 60Hz noise comes from? From *the cables you plug into the thing*. Most USB power supplies are ungrounded. They reference their outputs to 1/2 Vin via a weak Y-class cap. That's 55VAC referenced noise on the output. The scope will be grounded.
