Folks dont need to go as far as I did, pretty much anti-tamper epoxy on any circuit board in a network jack indicates issues (not much IP to protect in ordinary ones). I doubt I’m that special, anyone care to sacrifice a $50 Raspi 3b+ to confirm?

The anti-tamper epoxy one would be concerned about is on the backside circuit board not the block with with the RF chokes and inductors. (I.e. small board in center with goop.)pic.twitter.com/4CrMJSX3uk

Your "anti-tamper" epoxy is most likely *anti-tracking* epoxy. Tracking as in high voltage flashover. That thing is rated for >2kV isolation. You *need* hard materials to achieve that.
