Yes, so they might bolt this on as a "hax detect" for other clients, reporting the problem user. And then all the hacker needs to do is switch to less blatant methods, like auto-aim and scripted movement.

yeah of course, but those are never going to be defeatable because their movements look like those of a human. That's not an argument for doing nothing about it, though. Just because security is hard doesn't mean you don't have a responsibility to at least try.

also, "all" is a bit absurd there, autoaim and movement prediction scripts etc are far from trivial and you and I both know it. sure it might happen eventually, but that doesn't mean you can't pick the low hanging fruit first.
