Gentoo's minimum system requirements now include quantum computing. You need USE flags to be simultaneously on and off.

I think we should reflect on what has gone wrong in society to make this be "uplifting news" and not "the norm". I might be biased, living in Japan, but... shouldn't returning lost property be basic human decency, cash or otherwise? Why *wouldn't* you do it?

Wait, is this a mistake or are they really doing Thunderbolt with AMD now? Because that's the other requirement I had.

I'm not sure where the Chrome new tab page is getting its suggestions from, but I guess I'm not complaining.

*After* I left Google I debugged a Golang bug that had been open for months. It took me 2 afternoons to find and fix the bug. It took a month to get through the CLA and code review process. Even they thought that was too slow :-)

If there is one thing I would change about music theory, it's how they made it 1-indexed and got all the intervals wrong. We wound up with nonsense like two octaves (8) is a fifteenth (15). An interval of a "fifth" is 4 steps up. Etc. Music theory is a giant off by one error.

It took me forever to find this diagram. So this is what you get out of a coax antenna socket in Japanese apartments (at most; not all apartments get everything).

So I started using Ansible this week... I wonder what ad targeting channel this went through to end up at Reddit.

Switched internet providers. We'll see if they have any hidden caps, but the throughput with is certainly nice.

I walked into a room and I thought I had run into another one of those infernal near-ultrasound noisemakers... But it was a CRT TV.

I'm really liking this little wire rack for cable management and devices. Much more maintainable than my old solution of stuff on a (larger) desk / under it / on a shelf behind it. (New workspace is still WIP)
