Had the same issue. The presiding officer called the local council office and sorted it out on the spot. Ask if yours can do the same if this happens.
Great, but what happens if the council is closed?
The trouble is that lots of people who have been turned away might not see this and won’t go back. They need to make announcements on the TV and Radio to lets people know they can go back to vote.
That would be nice... The BBC has actively participated in the pretence that the referendum was democratic. They’ll do the same for this election, to help disguise the public will to Remain.

@Kingaladeeda maybe try contacting the Electoral Service? You’ve got until 10pm to vote. 
I tried debating with my council and even though they admitted they have a log of me being misinformed by their staff there is nothing they can do now (and the staff misinformed me after the deadline anyway so yeah)
