When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

they should unsubscribe from certain channels if that’s the case. Most of my viewers as an example hadn’t a clue about the bell, when I polled them on it - changing the function of the subscription button is harming all involved

Some viewers are never going to understand some UI. So why continue to make something more complicated? A simple subscribe/unsubscribe makes sense. Adding “we’ve got this bell too...& we chose the vids you see from the stuff you’ve subbed to see” makes no sense I’m with you, Mel
