Fun #CrashBandicoot fact #5 : My high school concert band performed this percussion-heavy piece by film/tv composer Jay Chattaway. It undoubtedly lodged itself into my future composer brain. Jay went on to score Star Trek TNG the year AFTER we played it:)

I drum along to Blockhead regularly (with headphones). The meter changes in this one are as angular as they are meditative. Al's drumming is perfection - precise and unwavering yet completely at ease. I miss this guy, big time. Happy bday, Alan Myers ~
