    The world would be a better place if people just dedicated themselves to gaining a deep understanding of those things that genuinely interest & concern them. A public w a broad-but-superficial set of cached ideas is much less able to evaluate *anything* & more easily manipulated.

    Interesting cat fact: apparently it's well-known among researchers that cats hate their food being near their water, like the usual double-bowl holder. Sure enough, my cat ate more and messed less. I then tried not adding water to his food in randomized pairs of bowls, and yep.

    Former Border Patrol Agent once again spares no one, not even herself, the honesty of her knowledge & experiences in the cruel, often hateful, company of those we as a country have hired to guard the entrances to our nation. It ain't pretty.

    Here is mine: I joined in 1995, not knowing anything about the Border Patrol or the Border. The first day of the academy, they separated the men & women under the guise of needing to talk to women about their hair and makeup.
