Personally I will never do anything remotely near my max again. Just not worth it.

I do 3RM because I don't know how to know if I'm maxing effort on a 1RM.

I use the RPE method and it got me to within 5lb of my max. The weeks leading up to that I was doing 1 rep of my estimated 3RM to get used to heavy singles

I'm doing hypertrophy with enough compounds to activate hormonal effects and cardio when I get cleared to start back. Need to cut hard before I add mass. I got sloppy and soft out of gym and sedentary during last 4 months of pain adventures. Stupid hard to grow at 6'7" 275.

I prefer trapbar deadlifts over conventional deadlifts, I know it's not the same but I can't risk hurting my back
