Interestingly technocapital has acted as a buffer that actually lessens these natural and healthy selection pressures. Notice the widespread degeneration of humanity in body and mind. Technocapital is creating farmable human livestock, not trying to make anyone a demigod etc.

Capitalism and technology are the same thing, or, put another way, are increasingly trending towards being a unfied entity with more and more autonomy. "Everything bad about technology is actually just capitalism" hadn't been true for a long long time. Read Land for more.
