Your entire world structure is built on a finite resource. The infrastructure that uses this resource and everything that comes out of it are generating ecological consequences down the line. If your political ideology doesn't take this into account it's not a serious thing.

Scarcity of resources is basically a myth. Never happens - this sounds shocking because it’s a suppressed veiwpoint. While oil is technically not infinite, it’s incredibly abundant and new technologies make more of it accessible and alternative hydrocarbons like natural gas.

We didn’t go to war for oil. I think less oil is entering the market in post war Iraq. We went to war for another reason that you’re not supposed to talk about.
