Megacorps won't lose their power post-collapse unless people do something about it. Communists will try to feed on that collective hate but it won't work. I bet that the closest we get to 'post collapse commune' living is warring nationstates. Like the Aztecs.

I bet that the majority of people will try to live as 'normal' as possible. The peer pressure to try and keep things how they were will probably be enough to dissuade most people from doing anything but what they're told.

Ofc the corporate structure will break down into something different but similar. But I don't think much will change in cities

It depends on the kind of collapse and severity. If food and water stop you basically are guaranteed a period of extreme chaos and urban areas will become deathtraps. If food and water keep coming then something like what ur saying is possible.

I think it will be short lived. One year maybe. Especially considering there are already plans in place for these things in the U.S. There is only one way to find out though.
-
Who knows. It's hard to speculate short term but our entire global system is based on a finite resource and ecological consequences will add up eventually so one way or another industrial society is doomed. I'm trying to get our before any of this to much safer place.
-
I'm hoping you get somewhere good soon

Thanks man :)
