with red it started from me making a video about them on my already established youtube channel, maybe that gave the impression that we were on the same social wavelength as creators? but i didn't make the video TO befriend them, i didn't force a friendship, that would've failed.
i believe @What_the_Cheick did have the express goal to befriend me, but he was also a creator and he didn't try to force anything, he kinda just established himself into my social sphere and let things progress naturally. i honestly couldn't tell you what made it natural though.
and avery? avery is a fucking celestial being with the supernatural power to befriend anyone and anything they want to. they're just a bundle of sunshine whose energy is irresistible. i had no chance against them.
but if you're just some guy who DMs me like "Hey!" it's like, i'm sorry but i am actually incapable of feeling the desire to befriend you. you're like a stray cat coming to the doorstep of my house that is already cat-filled. i wish you the best but i can't take care of you.
all that said i do still have a lot of fun hanging out with people who aren't part of my friend sphere, whether they're in my stream chat or on my discord server in the rare moment i'm actually active on it or whatever. it's the closest i'm able to get to those i can't befriend.
i have an immense amount of gratitude and sense of goodwill for my fans and i promise to continue doing the best i can do for them given my own personal limitations. i'm honored that you'd even want to be my friend in the first place.
