It's so hilarious that hackers are posting stuff like reverse engineering tutorials on pornhub because YouTube bans them. "Boss, I swear, it's not how it looks, I was watching a conference talk!"

I've been trying to figure out why the main menu performance on Warcraft 3 Reforged is so bad. It ends up the whole main menu is a web app running on Chrome. This thing runs worse than the actual game (likely because it's pegging an entire core of my CPU.)

There's something strange about the recent design change to google search results, favicons and extra header text: they all look like ads, which is perhaps the point?

Other than this making no sense, European nations have been colonized several times, from antiquity until some decades ago. They've gone through processes of ethnogenesis, territorial reshaping or conflicts, and independence wars.

Does Aaron think that Space Force Troops will be wearing cloth uniforms... in space? Like, without a space suit? Most will likely operate from Earth Are Air Force uniforms blue and white?

reading Gordon Moore’s Caltech 1953 PhD thesis, where he figures out the structure of nitrogenous molecules using infrared. the whole thing ends on this amazing suggestion for the field of chemistry:

Speedrunners have reached the point of doing heap feng shui in Wind Waker to (IIUC) fragment the heap in a specific way, and thus make a malloc() of a game-blocking object fail. I love this scene.

Seriously, stop using SHA-1! SHA-1 chosen-prefix collisions are now practically demonstrated. Beware of ALL possible collision exploits. E.g. see the amazing list of PoCs by .

Tiny channel like mine demonetized from Youtube? Easy fix, just have to check all 400+ vids that are 90% personal gameplay to see which ones violated this blanket reused content rule couldn't flag specific videos like they have for years, that makes too much sense

The one party that the previous election was biased towards, however, is the SNP. Scotland has smaller constituencies on average, so Scottish voters are over-represented compared to the rest of us.

For those who don't know, this is how FPTP usually works - it tends to give the winning party a majority. Take a look sometime at the 1997 results that gave Labour a massive majority in Parliament. They had an even bigger votes per seat advantage than this.

i still think my favourite thing that's ever happened to me on the internet is the time a guy said "people change their minds when you show them facts" and I said "actually studies show that's not true" and linked TWO sources and he said "yeah well I still think it works"

In an unfortunate irony, the only reason claims like this one seem credible is because Corbyn gamed the media so well. His campaign this time around was really cynical and mendacious, and they lapped it up. I'm sure 2017 wasn't anything like this... what happened to Labour?

(Oh, and as for the other supposed proof of plagarism - the fact they link to the same Prison Reform Trust article? It's the top result when Googling for info on parole and extended sentences, and also really clear and concise. I know this because I found myself pretty early on.)

The followup really drives it home though. He literally uses the fact that this is totally irrelevant to his anti-Tory claims as proof Boris must have plagiarized his anti-Tory post and stripped it of its correct interpretation. Astounding.

What I missed is that he used the fact that Boris Johnson also debunked this claim, made by Labour but not the Tories, to accuse Boris of plagiarizing an anti-Tory post and pretending it supported his position. It worked, too. Everyone's so inattentive and partisan they bought it
