nowadays, many of us listen to lectures/talks while we make use of our visual space in another domain.
@YouTube @TeamYouTube i understand that you seem to be set on providing visual-auditory sensory experience through your brand/platform. i am curious and would like to know if you have thought about giving us the power to collapse video?

i'm sensitive and pay great deal of extraordinary attention to interactions within me. i noticed that even when playing youtube video and switch to another tab, completely covering the video, the memory of it still remain and takes up energy manifesting its own reality.

in other words, playing video, even when hidden from your visual space, the fact that it's playing could still be attached to the information highway of your brain, needlessly.

i am saying this to you also because when i was visiting your HQ, i met a programmer who just got out of an interview. we discussed around your problem of managing high bandwidth.

i just want to remind you that a lot of 1 and 0 spaces are being wasted.

do you have data on how many people actually hit play, only for audio?
