Have started designing "Tiny Orb" (Cube Orb, for scale) using 4x4 LED matrices. Still working on interior frame design to accommodate the wiring and make batteries fit. This prototype uses memory wire (to be trimmed) to attach the 3D printed sides to the inside frame.

👋🏾 I made myself a moon phase + period tracking monthly calendar based on Islamic geometry🩸🌗 It's been a joy bringing together cyclical and geometric elements to speculate on my body's rhythms through making and coding ♀️💜

A printed circuit board for visualising moon phases and a menstruation cycle. The board's design consists of LEDs arranged in Islamic geometry patterns with circular units in a 6x5 grid (30 units in total). Some LED units are lit up to show the moon phases in purple and menstruation days in pinkish red.
