    White people imagine racism is being called the N word or Paki whereas Black/Brown people can tell you they've walked into rooms/restaurants/pubs where no one has said a word to them but they can literally FEEL the racism in the air. White people are not qualified to talk on it.

    Many ppl that don’t experience racism in their lives struggle to believe how prevalent it is. They’ve had the privilege of never having to think about it. To add to the complexity, many ppl who believe they are not racist have strong unconscious biases, which is just as damaging.

    This is a real thinker, queer or not (maybe more so if ur at least a bit queer)

    Queer people don't grow up as ourselves, we grow up playing a version of ourselves that sacrifices authenticity to minimise humiliation & prejudice. The massive task of our adult lives is to unpick which parts of ourselves are truly us & which parts we've created to protect us.

    Just need to share the trauma of this out a bit because I can’t carry it alone - my mum had a nightmare that she was pregnant and the father was Boris Johnson, who was bellowing at her through the TV about how he had the right to name their baby. Many feelings, all very bad.

    You can tell an awful lot about someone from the way they talk about neurodiversity; Boris’ attachment of IQ to “worth” says it all. There is so much wrong with this it’s hard to know where to begin.
