I recently finished Vision Quest! It's a high quality fan game. Highly recommended for GBA FE fans. I drew a silly sketch of my favorite characters from it. xD See my thoughts here: Thanks for this wonderful fan game, Pandan & friends!

Reader: Bulbapedia's Hoenn Route 113 page says that in JP Emerald, Camper Lawrence switches from masculine to feminine pronouns before & after battle. Is this true? This is false. Lawrence nor any trainer on Route 113 does this. See link for details:

Reader: Given her outfit, is Pyra saying this line as an ironic joke in ENG? Is it different in JPN? No, the line is ironically silly in JPN as well. The convo in JPN does address skin exposure more directly though! See link.

If there are other fun little bits that may be worth looking into, let me know! The names of people/places are already pretty different, huh? (Pls be careful with spoilers, though... I'm somewhere in Ch. 9, so put in a warning for me and I can check back later it's after 9!)

Quick JP-EN comparison from - from a DLC quest in Ch. 5. The "high" joke in the attached image is only in the localization. The JP is just a basic hint. I imagine this is the case for many of these types of jokes. More details:

Lilina: Firelight Leader from the : The Binding Blade game appears in as a Legendary Hero starting Dec. 24, 11 PM PT! I guess you can also summon previously released 5★ New Heroes, Legendary Heroes, and Mythic Heroes! Exciting, isn't it?

"We hope to see you again!" Words from the nurse in that spawned jokes and memes due to the context it is said in -but only in the ENG fanbase. In JPN, it's more like: "We look forward to serving you again!" A bit different! See more in link!

I would love to hear how this scene worked in other non-ENG/JPN languages! Did they go more with the literal "praise card" or try to find a fitting pun like "complimentary" instead? : ) Let me know!

Remember that silliness with Beedle's "Complimentary ID" in ? How'd that work in Japanese? "オホメ券" (lit. "Compliment Coupon") Localization's small change of "compliment" > "complimentary" added a fun layer for ENG players. See link!

Compared the rest of the Blazing Blade (FE7) JP/EN epilogues to see if any other missed differences. Nothing too big like Guy-Priscilla or Bartre-Karla, but still a lot of small details here and there that add a bit more to some. See link!

Reader: Is it true that Guy elopes with Priscilla in the Japanese version of Blazing Blade? Yes, he does! The two seem to run off together and live happily ever after. Contrast with the English epilogue where he seems to leave her in tears.

Path of Radiance: What was the silly "fish out of water" part like in Ike & Ranulf's C Support in JP? The idiom is loc-unique, but is an example of great localization. All the pieces were there to convey the original intent with it. See link.

Heroes: "Bridal Beloveds" Summoning Event Now Live! Also, in the new Paralogue, there might be a surprising fact for English players: Rafiel and Nailah are already married! See this old post from for the details:

A part of a Nin. Dream dev interview (translated by ) for implies this may indeed be intentional in JP! For once it wasn't just entirely grasping at straws. xD "There are some items in the exploration quests that are evocative of past titles"
