HOLY SHIT! Trump KNEW for a MONTH that Bolton described first-hand how Trump personally ordered aid withheld from Ukraine pending investigations into the Bidens! That means @senatemajldr Mitch McConnell certainly knew as well! No wonder #MoscowMitchTraitor wanted to acquit ASAP!

why Trump was so mad about the stall-he knew it would leak, hoped it would be after McConnell's joke senate trial. Congrats to Nancy Pelosi on a brilliant delay!

So the WH legal team has known for over a MONTH that Bolton's BOOK spills the beans on the thing that the WH is denying Trump did in his Impeachment Trial in the Senate? And they went to trial anyway? WTAF?

The big question is which Senators knew this. Anyone who did obviously knew the news would come out yet planned to acquit despite that. For any who were unaware of this they might be reconsidering going all in on the cover up.

Now we watch the Republican Senators twist themselves into pretzels excusing the behavior.

They didn't think it was going to come out or they sat on it hoping they can suppress it long enough for the Senate trial to be over.

The latter. One of the few talents that Trump has is understanding the news cycle. While the book coming out eventually would of course hurt him, the damage would be far less if it was after he was acquitted.
