Most are too invested in their ego to even entertain, much less recognize the truth should they encounter it.

I was thinking more about my own tendency to protect my friends, family, etc from the truth in case it would be too much to handle for them. Well it's never too much, and even if it is, it's their problem not mine.

Partial Counterpoint: sometimes the very process of handling the truth *is* becoming strong, so there is no way to handle the truth and stay weak.

I don't see that as a counterpoint at all. Protecting people from truth is the only thing that keeps them weak. If I stop protecting them, they'll have no choice but to grow up (or find someone else willing to shield them from reality).

I've seen the truth break people. You can't force them to be exposed to something much beyond their understanding. A much gentler way of putting it is, no one is too weak to handle what they need to know.
