Had they not changed this, how many Republican Senators and Reps would have rushed to cameras by morning to insist that the Chiefs DO play in Kansas, and only the people should decide if that's untrue?

Except that this Kansas City is in Missouri.

A top NRA official has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the group's lawyer, according to a recent court filing, in a sign of ongoing turmoil. The official received nearly a million dollars in compensation last year.

For a bit of historical perspective: no US Senator has ever voted to remove a president of their own party. Just keep this in mind amidst discussions of Mitch McConnell’s ruthless cunning.

Adam Schiff weighs in, telling the Senate everyone knows what the president did and appeals to the chamber: “The truth is staring us in the eyes. We know they don’t want John Bolton to testify... The don’t want the American people to hear it in all of its ugly, graphic detail.”

As and discussed just now, here's Sen. Murkowski asking about calling John Bolton as a witness.

  15. Sen Baldwin's question about why Jennifer Williams' supplemental testimony was classified elicits new info: Philbin says it's because it's based on the transcript of Pence's talk with Zelensky. Haven't both Trump & Pence called for the record of that conversation to be released?

I still can't believe the President’s lawyer tried to convince the United States Senate that foreign election interference isn’t a crime.

Schiff said this is a “remarkable admission” by Philbin that Rudy wasn’t conducting foreign policy. “They were, in the words of Dr. Hill, ‘a domestic political errand,’” Schiff says of Rudy’s actions. Schiff says Trump’s lawyers are essentially confirming Hill’s testimony.

Philbin says there was no foreign policy being carried out by a private citizen. He adds that Rudy Giuliani was just a source of info for Trump who knew about Ukraine and spoke to POTUS. “The president’s policy is always to abide by the laws, and continue to do so.”

Bipartisan question — I believe the first one — from Sens. Sinema/Manchin/Collins/Murkowski, to Trump’s lawyers. Will Trump assure us that private citizens will not be directed to conduct foreign policy unless formally designated by the president and the State Dept to do so?
