      Unsurprisingly, the CAP-T model seems pretty sound. Like CAPM, the underlying hypothesis here (I've discussed it before) is that accounts in the same niche (for instance, vol twit) really grow by two factors: 1) The S-curve (TAM) 2) The niche growth rate (the "market") & beta

      This is an s-curve effect! There are only a limited number of people interested in the kind of content you post. When most of them already follow you it’s hard to get new followers. To do that you need to diversify content and break onto a new s-curve.
