      Was chatting about this with doctor friends yesterday. There are plenty of spare beds, including ICU beds, the main problem is staff shortages since any doctor/nurse who gets covid is off work for 2 weeks, and a *lot* of them have it at the moment.

          Also many have quit. Varies greatly by region. Upstate NY has net negative open beds. NYC has 10% spare capacity.
