      I've never gotten a good answer to how/why it came to be that θ is conventionally used for angles. It haunts me; I no longer remember sleep.

      The explanation in this video for why a bicycle stays upright is wrong. The wheels don’t have enough angular momentum to stop a bike from falling over. The rider continually makes small steering corrections to stay upright and on course.

      You can see it two ways — 1. If you start a bike moving in a straight line with no rider it will quickly fall over 2. You can design a bike with counter-rotating wheels (so zero AM) and you can still easily ride it.
