If you convert your salary to Bitcoin immediately after it’s paid to you, you are not “taking your salary in Bitcoin”. I have a plan that automatically buys stocks whenever I get paid, that does not mean I am “paid in $VTI”

If it's a fixed amount of bitcoin, yes. If it's a fixed number of dollars that they convert to bitcoin at market rates before they pay you, no.

exactly. hard to imagine given that the company would be taking the risk, but otherwise what’s the point? even getting paid in btc/crypto but quoted in usd would make no sense.
