Week 12. Still some way off my target speeds but all the tempo and interval workouts are getting done on very tired legs, so I’m pretty confident I’ll go faster when rested. Really pleased with the weekly mileage consistency right now, even if I don’t hit the 50 mile weeks.

Week 13. An annoying week where work got in the way of training and I struggled. Big thanks to FinTwit runners who kept me motivated. I tend to subscribe to the view that physical and mental stress are additive - if there’s too much of one, you need to dial back on the other.

Week 14. Got a new pair of daily trainers - Nike ZoomX Invincible. These are hands down the comfiest shoes I have ever run in. They make my old Nike Reacts and Hokas feel like bricks. Broke them in on a 25km run at 5’12/km pace and didn’t feel a thing.pic.twitter.com/VOdPJLwYyn
