A funny thing about Taleb's whole philosophy that flies under the radar is that he cherishes anti-fragility but despises academics for lack of skin in the game, missing that being insulated from the consequences of one's own ideas is as anti-fragile as it gets.

Yeah. On the other hand if you're a professor at even a mid-tier state school with a small amount of charisma you'll basically always have at least five people around you who think you are a god for your entire career.
