The kids are not going to school and getting tests, but they’re also not going to school and mixing with ~30 people every day and then going home to their families, and that seems much more important.
The real test is hospitalisation data, I would expect to see a levelling off and decline in admission numbers 5-7 days from now if the drop in cases is real.
One reason could be that vaccines are reaching their optimum efficiency and starting to prevent infection as well.
R in france falling as well. I think it just clusters faster but drops faster as well
