Fair. That said, it's the nature of the universe that physical objects wear out and break. It's also the nature of even well-meaning, competent human beings that they occasionally screw up. Most tenants are completely understanding. A small minority give zero grace.

I still don’t agree with the OP but I do have respect for people who engage calmly with random twitter anons who make fun of them, so there’s that.

I think the only people who should be allowed to rent property are REITs with over $100mm in assets. Rents won’t go down, and service won’t improve, but at least they won’t constantly kvetch about how oppressed they are on Twitter.

Lol Indeed. Their property values go through the roof, they can charge higher rent almost every year, but they are doing such unthankful hard and honest labour
