My view is equity - first date perhaps it's more difficult, but later on paying for stuff should be roughly proportional to salary

an old Father looking out for his Daughters , if a causal “date”with those in the “Friend” group do as you want as these are infrequent. If more frequent then I want to see skin-in-the-game,demonstrations of respect. You have competition. Act like you know.
