2007 isn't young for a Rhône valley wine. I'd have opened it too. This is not a Château Lafite that you keep for 30 years. And most 30 year old Bordeaux taste like shit anyways because they weren't kept properly.

Strongly agree. Maturity widow opens at 8 for a lot of these. However, the LaLa’s can certainly hold up to some longer aging than some of their southern Rhône peers. Had the pleasure of enjoying a 2003 La Landonne about a year ago and couldn’t have been happier.
