My only take on high school math is fuck trigonometry — people who get to complex numbers can treat all of trig as a mildly interesting corollary, essentially no one else needs to know it.

So should we forget everything computers can do over the course of a few generations since we don’t need to know it?

No we should continue learning about the things that are practically useful, build a foundation for further knowledge, give insight, or are beautiful. Trig is none of these.

Could we file it under history of Math? Interesting enough how old Greeks discovered it and later cultures applied it to navigation and triangulation. Half of school is already history anyways

Yes, this is it! Learn trigonometry historically — haversine, versine and all that. Put students on a boat in the middle of the Mediterranean and make them navigate back to Athens! This is perfect.
