      If you had to eliminate one grape varietal for the rest of your life, which of these do you nix? Any wine that contains the grape is off limits, so if you pick Chardonnay then Champagne is (effectively) over for you. If you pick Merlot, no more Bordeaux blends.

      What's more commonly found, Blanc de Blancs or Blanc de Noirs? I was under the impression the former is much more prevalent, but I don't know Champagne all that well.

      Blanc de blanc way more common but some places do blanc de noirs, eg Egly Ouriet.
