i knew i wasn't going to like the results but i googled Slaanesh and maybe "the modern collapse of sexual desire," to the extent there even is such a thing, has something to do with a generation of 20-something men being more mentally-involved with videogames than anything else

I do think there's a tendency for traditionally "nerdy" interests to attract the kind of person who makes them their whole personality, and doesn't know when it's socially acceptable to talk about them, because their whole little group is just like them, but idk

as the dad of a 25 y/o, to me it's not even about nerdiness. more that there are only so many hours in a day, & if you spend them in a world that tricks your brain into feeling like it has accomplished something, you miss out on time spent exploring/accomplishing other things.
