EM can be a bit sketch, esp. in those "you can bring money in, but no guarantee you can take it out" countries (China, India, etc), but definitely mucho alpha if you can stomach it! Tons of alpha in more DM-y EM countries like Korea and Taiwan as well.
Some free alpha for you -- imo quants should spend more time looking at • Credit • Inflation • Emerging markets Lots of simple strategies giving good results there, including ones that stopped working in DMs and other asset classes years ago. You're welcome!
