I try stuff if it comes highly recommended or something but American wine is generally either horrifically bad or horrifically overpriced.

Musar is the most well known (go for 1991, 1998, 1999 or 2003) but Massaya Gold Reserve and Kefraya 'Comte de M' are also very good, and all decently priced.
