Theoretically… Borrow money from PB for use as initial margin, secured on cash/other assets held elsewhere (eg precious metals). This happens. Do that multiple times with same underlying security. This should not happen.

I remember reading about a problem with companies double dipping with collateralized loans on different lenders in Singapore. I believe the collateral was usually inventory of some kind. They were looking at a blockchain solution.

This was physical gold I think, if Hin Leong was what you meant because gold is hard to move, but there is no way you can do that with dematerialised, electronic book entry shares, unless you hold bearer certificates which are incredibly rare for this reason among many others
