      No it does not. Typescript exacerbates the actual problem of JavaScript which is the shifting sands of libraries that barely compatible just right now. Building a JavaScript application is like trying to catch 5 salmon swimming upstream using a single spear throw.

      I have a package-lock.json file that is > 22,000 lines. I'd love to know what would be removed by Typescript.

      this reminds me of the cop templates discourse "templates reduce code duplication" "my c++ project generates 1500 MB of template expansions and we have countless duplicated templated functions" machine tooling output size will always be grotesque and the rest was by choice
