No need for Wikipedia, you can get the data directly from the INSEE: 67.399 million in 2/2021 https://www.insee.fr/en/statistiques/serie/001641607 … Did you really believe France's population was 3 million?
The INSEE have an obvious and well known pro-France bias, I would not trust them to report the population of France correctly. I will stick with estimate of three million, plus or minus a few hundred k.

The source is my own beliefs and understanding, I don’t see the need to consult any external sources, especially not French ones
