Index funds trade on adds/deletes! Passive fund inflows follow performance! Heavy inflows can push up the price of all the stocks in the index! Passive funds don’t get out of overvalued stocks! I agree with all these things, please stop telling me about them!
The other comment I get a lot is “people said this one (wrong) thing but they *meant* this other (arguably less wrong) thing.” I mean, maybe? But I don’t feel like it’s too much to ask to say the right thing first rather than relying on the reader to infer what you really meant.
