If I spend a lot of time online rn I feel like the world is a wacky carnival. It's making serious people look like they are wasting their time. Full nihilism to follow.

Absolutely this. Just a massive contrast between the view of the world you have if you are extremely online, and what my very offline friends spend their time thinking and talking about. Honestly they seem happier.
Them: what do you mean you don’t have a facebook or instagram account or read news? how do you keep up with what’s happening in the world? Me: logs on to twitter dot com and injects industrial strength crazy directly into my eyeballs
