Has any manager every made a positive CAGR over an extended period only through shorting? Not just being "net short", I'm talking 100% short. Spitznagel comes to mind but that's it....looking to see if i can crowdsource other names/funds.
Not even sure that Spitznagel has made a positive return, even including 2020. Has he? He explicitly markets the fund as downside insurance/convexity to be combined with a long exposure elsewhere.
