You're 100% right. Pretty sure the explanation I gave is correct so what's going on? Possibly due to distribution of returns *within* the indices (i.e. mega-cap stocks are up much more than the mid-caps? or there are a lot of small/micro-cap stocks that aren't up as much as R2k?)
