It’s how you protect yourself. A hedge fund would never just sign the first draft of the agreement the prime broker sends over yet retail just clicks “accept” not very smart if you ask me

For sure - absent any kind of regulatory apparatus (brokers “self regulate”) - the only option left to the individual is to form a GP/LP or offshore Corp and leverage a securities attorneys expertise. That way, they can engage a PB and many execution relationships, many markets
