I am not sure the multi-manager hedge fund models factored in this type of tail-wagging behavior from their short books (Millennium, Citadel, Balyasny). If those books need to unwind. Woooosh, This could get very interesting. But, I also have no idea what I am talking about.
Based on data I’m seeing, equity long/short funds are having a great month so far. There are a few who are concentrated in hype stocks, who are having a bad time, but most are doing great.
GME/BB/AMC etc are not even close to being the majority of the risk for the big multi manager funds.
