I’m trying a wine from http://wineaccess.com . It’s incredible. Unlike anything I’ve had from Naked. Yet. It also cost 4x the avg bottle I order on Naked and took 5 weeks to get here (rather than 1-2 days).

Going to put on my most elitist face and say that Naked is not in the business of providing quality wines. They focus on emerging producers in quirky locations. Starting a winery is expensive and hard. Naked have found a way to subsidise emerging producers...

More complicated but... Sounds offensive but great wine is the easy part For many reasons, you cant get to scale online with wine over ~$20 per bottle Getting to scale let’s you do the easy stuff

Completely agree, when you can charge $80 per bottle there’s a lot you can do both in the vineyard and in cask to level up the wine that just isn’t an option at $10-20
