I know genji is trash but deflect's hitbox makes 0 sense and I've been killed by so many things where I've shot to the side or above the genji or even straight at the floor and its somehow been deflected

there’s a cast time on hammonds adaptive shield and mines, that’s so short you don’t notice unless someone accidentally kills/stuns you in the middle deploying them.
I will say those are cast times that both are also very negligible, so why do they exist. I can understand why you would want to punish poor usage of ultimate abilities like minefield, pulse bomb, nano boost etc because they are ultimates (inherently more powerful)

personally all i’m saying is that if they remove deflect cast time, then i feel like removing minefield and adaptive shield cast time should happen as well

i think the cast time shouldnt be so short or non existant. Make it longer to punish poor play or remove it to make it more consistant and feel better (quality of life)

i will say looking at the wiki's, i cant even find the actual cast time on genji's deflect. The others i mentioned above have their cast times listed on the wiki (gamepedia seems to be the only one listing cast times).

There is no cast time, it will just be latency between you and the server that causes it to appear as cast time. As for the "it being put in cooldown even though you're slept etc" I think that just has to do with the server trying to do 2 things at once which has irregularitiespic.twitter.com/2k8F8UdO5y
