How do you prefer your #infosec conferences to be held?

honestly I understand the need for it, but I personally really dislike virtual speaking and have mostly stopped giving talks this year because of it it's all the bad parts and none of the good parts for me
That's actually great insight. Would you mine elaborating a little from the speaker perspective?

Virtual speaking is a different skill set. For some people, not having to be nervous in front of live audiences is no doubt a feature, and they're probably going to be more naturally suited to it. 1/

For me, struggling with my own perfectionism while writing talks by myself was the bad part, which I put up with for the travel and the adrenaline rush and the audience energy and connecting with others. Virtual speaking removes the parts that made it worth it for me
