This sounds excellent. Congrats. Question: a theory like Grossberg’s ART suggests top-down signals are projected down, so “expectations” can be compared with sensory input. The top-down signal’s compared but doesn’t interact with sensory signal. Is this compatible with your data?

...Interactive accounts state not only that signals are projected down from “higher” areas, so info is enhanced in the lower area, but also that the top-down signals change the sensory signals that are being sent up. Do your data confirm that the bottom-up signal is changed?
